Becky Escamilla
Climate Action Coordinator
Becky is thrilled to be a part of Classrooms for Climate Action! As a retired educator, this organization fills her science, student and climate action cup. Becky grew up in Texas where she was a science teacher for 18 years at the high school and middle school level teaching 6th, 7th and 8th grade Science, Biology, AP Biology, Chemistry, Physical Science and Anatomy & Physiology.
After that, Becky completed a Masters Degree in School Counseling and moved with her family to Colorado! After four years of working as a middle school counselor, Becky found that she wanted to support schools, teachers and families as an administrator. After completing the necessary qualifications, she was a Dean and then an Assistant Principal in several BVSD schools and ultimately finished her career at Whittier with the dream job of principal for 8 years.
When Becky is not with C4CA, she enjoys time with my 5 grandchildren as well as hiking, traveling, gardening, and a little birding and occasional fly fishing.
