Spring 2025

Classroom Projects

At Crest View Elementary, the third graders learned from our friend Reshawn from Harvest of All First Nations about the history of The Long Walk and how the Diné people used their weaving as a form of resistance and resilience. Then the students wove their own pieces and presented them to the Sun and the Earth!

Heatherwood Climate

Community Fair

Studies show that the Gunbarrel neighborhood stays very warm in the evenings. We’ve partnered with Cool Boulder, Play Boulder, Eco-Cycle, and Heatherwood Elementary to host a community event led by students to connect and educate Gunbarrel residents about what nature-based climate solutions they can take part in!

Join us on May 1st at Heatherwood Elementary from 5:00 PM – 6:30 PM! This event is free and does not require registration to attend.

Climate Resilience Summit

You're Invited! Climate Poster

High School students from around the state of Colorado gather every spring and fall to galvanize youth voices on local climate action. Learn more & register here for the spring Summit at Boulder High!

And keep an eye out for more info about the fall Summit hosted at Centaurus High School, which will organize around SUN DAY!

Get in Touch

C4CA is hoping that other communities will rally their own retired educators and community members to support teachers and students in local climate action. Get in touch if you need ideas on how to get started in your own town or if you want to volunteer in Boulder County!
